On a spectrum from Left to Right, capitalism would still be to the left of feudalism. Not by much, but "the king and his 20 friends control everything" is more centralized than "theoretically anyone who has the money can control things"

This isn't quite true. Capitalism is to the left of, say, feudalism. The French revolution was started by people opposed to monarchy and a majority of them weren't anticapitalist
