Speaking of not consenting, mine imported the old messages from the Samsung app without asking or even notifying that it was going to. I wonder how much Google made off of this. Samsung has done this greedy stuff before with OneDrive for photo sync, and ads in stock apps. This makes me regret buying an S24 Ultra. What's next, Phone app becomes Google Voice? Gallery to Google Photos? Gmail? Gboard? Might as well have bought a Pixel.

That sounds like the ESPN app. I used to use it years ago to get score updates from multiple teams/leagues. No problems then. I redownloaded it last year and could not turn off news notifications without turning off all notifications. Not breaking news, not related to my teams. Uninstalled quickly.
