Damnit, gotta resist the urge to draw other peoples OC's on a whim. I gotta draw my own characters for heccin' dangs sake. >c

Maybe I'm a bit of a bitter man these days, but things seem to irk me the more I see them. I don't mind some reaction content for example, dubious as it is at times. My issues lie when they don't bother waiting for natural pauses or lulls to pause, or when they over-pause for little to no reason.

Trying again after food, but if it starts causing issues again I'm switching characters and leaving Jay unfinished for now, I do NOT have the mental wherewithal lately for this.

Okay apparently I've forgotten how to draw fucking heels. It's not even a complex pic, but even the basic shape of it is meshing with me for some reason. Every time just looks awful and makes the legs wrong by proxy. Then thats half the whole body looking dogshit, it's a damn cascade failure.

In an attempt to focus more on myself instead of just saying "I want to draw other peoples OCs, but that's still not drawing for myself", I've slapped down roughs of every character of substance I've ever made. Maybe I'll gain more drive and sense of purpose. Any of the cast anyones curious about?

Idle thoughts bring interesting ideas. New headcanon, Gameoverse and Indie Cross take place in the same universe. It's just that where the Syntax are speeding up the natural progression of a game world to get its essence, the Rogues seem to just use brute force to break through a worlds System Lock

So often I get wrapped up in art that's, by its nature, -for- other people. Sure, I choose to do it because I enjoy it, but it's never really for me at the end of the day. I'll have the satisfaction that comes with completing the piece, the positivity in the reaction from said person, but still.

Gameoverse seems promising. A solid concept, some fun designs and nods to the gaming culture, even its visual style with the way its lines are just a little bit pencilly, I like it. Something about it holds it back, hard to pin down. It hits the notes, I just think it was in too much of a hurry.

I'm somehow exactly a month late for @honey-goblin.bsky.social's birthday, but life has a way of delaying things unfortunately. However due to her upcoming (and well deserved) break, the theme of it seems perfectly timed. I wish you the best of luck with your staycation, Honey, you'll be missed!

Well, that felt like writing a cringey fic, but at least I won't feel so disheartened by my own inactivity or indolence. Can blame all those Amphibia clips popping up in my reccommendeds lately, been reminding me of that era of show that explored similar, yet individually unique themes.

I realise how silly my last post sounded, grown-ass man over here daydreaming about cartoon movie narratives, but the ideas just come, I'm more lamenting my lack of noting these things down. I have though tossed the vague ideas into a word document so it's not totally lost at least.

Times like today I wish I had a higher energy pool cap. I just spent most of my idle thoughts during work mentally writing a screenplay for a crossover movie with various modern cartoons. Though now I'm home, my energy is largely spent, and I was never much of a writer anyway. Coulda been neat.

Following the trend of yesterdays post, heres the critical fail splash image I made for the game, which I also added a 'boowamp' sound to for extra funni. (Yes I know what it looks like but it's supposed to be looming figures, honest)

(Lil bit bright I apologise) I'm in a neat lil Westmarch-esque PF2e game and once of the characters I play is Glawr. Theyre on Foundry of course and have a module that puts lil splash images up when you crit succeed and crit fail, so put a lil oomph onto makin' a set for it. Heres the success one.

As a bonus post today (since it seemed dumb to post a similar looking thing on a wholly separate day), heres the yappy variant of the previous gif. Man, lookit that foxo yap, sure do be mouthin' up a storm over there. Jokes aside, I sometimes wonder or second guess my pencilly style, but not a lot.
