I lived in Dublin for nearly 20 years. Eventually I'd to leave 2½ years ago. I miss the Dublin of my 20s but it never recovered from the recession & became actively hostile to regular residents during the recovery. Very happy where I live now & I can go up for a night out if I want, but I rarely do.
