Socialism has no place for racism. The concept of racism weakens the class argument for socialists. That is the reason the DSA is only 4% black.

I think your statement is made in bad faith. The DSA does not want white supremacy at the expense of blacks and other minorities. Our objective is to earn the trust of all individuals regardless of the color of their skin so that we can unite and demand from "the haves" benefits that we all deserve.

Bad faith, or lived experience?

I won't argue with your experience of racism, but I would argue that anybody who was racist towards you was not a socialist.

To my mind, socialists and the far-right share a common desire to decouple race from the harmful conditions of race for the same reason: so u don’t have to address it. The far-right substitutes ‘colorblindness.’ Socialists substitutes ‘class.’ Both approaches dismiss racism as a thing of the past.

Can I suggest anything by Tony Cliff or Chris Harman or Alex Callinicos or Weyman Bennett. Read their work on racism and socialism, and their refusal to decouple it from a revolutionary analysis of the capitalist system. I know much less about the US labor movement. Maybe start with Fred Hampton.

Have you heard of bhaskar sunkara? I think he is high up in the DSA. He is your spokesman. He is not serving you well.
