Ross Douthat is unsettled. The "left-of-center" "elite consensus" of the Obama era he hated is gone (yay!) and replaced by a right-wing populism he dreamed of (YAY!) but he can see it going bad (oh no) so instead of opposing it or reconsidering how bad the Obama era was, he's confused.
