Gonna be honest, I think it was sort of cowardly of the MCU to call the character “Michelle-Jones” instead of “Mary Jane” in the first place, but that doesn’t change the fact that she is the MCU version of Mary Jane Watson. NWH even establishes that her full name is “Michelle-Jones Watson.”
