You can buy one that will last 25 years, it just costs several thousand dollars. If you wanna buy a $1200 Samsung, you’re gonna get the equivalent of a fridge that would’ve sold for $300 in the 1980s: a piece of mediocrity. There’s a huge survivorship bias when people talk about old appliances.
