One of the reasons the Crystal Rapier in Dark Souls 3 is one of the worst weapons ever created is because it's a thrust weapon with barely any physical damage so it not only has a generally dogwater damage type but it can't even capitalize on the main mechanic that makes thrust weapons viable.
