Hard to get a verified information on it but I keep seeing posts citing 2 pounds of copper and about 1 gram of gold, and, while less precious, the poles are aluminum.
Some cite up to 23 pounds of copper but that seems entirely too much.
Their cameras are essentially android phones with better lenses. Precious metal/copper mostly comes down to chip interconnects and traces. I'd be shocked if the entire camera weighed 2 pounds.
Nothing verified, of course. So far figures quoted by people are being called an “AI hallucination fueling misinformation”, but that, itself, could be misinformation.
We need research into the subject by reputable people. Large sample size in case of variation.
