The two largest companies running for-profit ICE detention centers — GEO Group and CoreCivic — just reported a combined revenue of more than $1,400,000,000 in Q2 after signing more contracts with ICE. There should be no profit motive to put our community members in horrific detention conditions.

It would be interesting to know if anyone in appointed or elected position in the federal gov't has investments in either of those companies, or in any companies contracted w/ ICE or DHS.

Your taxpayers dollars down the drain again, or in DT pockets. 🇺🇲

Imagine a world where that $ when to supporting families, children, communities... I dream big

And....

The executive suites and Board members of these companies need to be held personally responsible for the crimes and terror they are inflicting on their inmates. We need an entire restructuring of white collar crime so that the people who MAKE the decisions are held accountable for them.

This is obscene!

SICKENING. Yet, the boot licking cowards of the gop and a few pathetic Dems continue to leave the ORANGE PEDOPHILE UNCHECKED. VOTE THEM OUT IN NOVEMBER

Taxpayers are spending $200 billion dollars on ICE to brutalize communities and traumatize children for life. $38 billion is for hiring l ICE personnel, which gives ICE the capacity to hire 10,000 ICE officers. This is being done in your name, with your tax dollars, on our watch. Don’t look away.

Sounds good got the Democrats’ #Election2028 platform: ban operators of private detention facilities!

And that money is coming from the US government, correct?

That is why certain entities CANNOT be privatized.

Cannon

An immigrant had a voluntary removal date from a judge. He bought a ticket to leave, but instead ICE detained him & kept him detained ever since for not leaving by the removal date (which he couldn't do bc they had him detained!) & they were trying to use that as justification to keep him detained

The next democratic president must end all contracts with these ghouls on day one.

Abolish ICE minute 1

Stop detaining people for profit. All prisons should be nonprofit, there shouldn't be a financial motive to detain people. Especially when the people being detained may not have been given due process under the Constitution, which basically means they have been kidnapped.
