Even if one does take him as the default voice on fantasy, Tolkien HIMSELF struggled with the moral dilemma he created by making orcs the 'Evil Race'. He made multiple contradictory efforts to address it! Citing him as a reason you can have an 'Evil Race' is sheer laziness.
