In England, we were taught about the London blitz, the Battle of Britain, Romans, Normans, Saxon, Danes, Celts, kings & queens. Only after we left school we learnt about the holocaust, the Irish famine, the subjugatuion of Indians, Aborigines, Africans and Scots, basically the important details.
