My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area. (15 in Manhattan btw)

There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

I'll never understand why people are so upset about this. I'm currently learning to drive, and it would be a load off my mind if my car could keep me from accidentally going too fast. I can't think of a single emergency situation that would actually be solved by speeding! And I've thought about it!
