I miss my childhood but I feel like I should have some kind of exception because I mean “the Biden presidency” (when I was 15-19) when I say my childhood and you know what when I refer to not my childhood.
So my way to spin this *rationally* is that feelings are ‘directional’. If the average person is often hungry, but less & less, the times are ‘better’ than the reverse… where people are rarely hungry, but more & more often. Then there’s straight up misremembered nostalgia.
They've *sold* crustless sandwiches since '98! *Everything is better now than it used to be!*
(I guess Uncrustables feel newer to me than they are, probably because I didn't buy my first box of them until this year.)
