and just from an outer perspective: I felt so bad about references for so long. and now my kid walked in, saw me drawing and sighed and said "it's so cool you can use references - all I can do is trace"
OctoI was really battling with perfectionism but I got into drawing again because I thought "screw this, it is imperfect but at least I made it myself"
