As @tagesschau.bsky.social reports the explosive package contained Semtex, surely not available at the hardware store around the corner! Fortunately the fuse broke off preventing a real disaster. As a hub for military transports to Ukraine Leipzig airport had been targeted last year as well.

I’m in Leipzig. The drone was carrying only a detonator, no explosives. It was probably a deliberate test to gauge the security forces’ response.

Die Antonovs müssen gar nicht das Ziel gewesen sein, in der Vergangenheit waren DHL Frachtmaschinen öfters das Ziel, indem man Brandsätze mit Zeitzünder als Pakete verschickte, und im Zusammenhang mit diesem Fund ist auch die Reden von einem Frachtflugzeug, das beim Start eine kleine Kollision hatte

Jetzt ist im Radio von zwei Drohnen die Rede. Eine versagte gegen den Rumpf einer startenden DHL Maschine, die andere war noch 'geparkt'. Der oder die Piloten, glaube ich, haben die Nerven verloren als der erste Anschlag misslang, und machten sich davon, ohne die zweite Drohne zu starten.
