I saw the Odyssey this weekend and really liked it. I was on the fence until Oddy met Circe, but the Circe episode was really good, as was the following bit where Oddy went to Hades. I enjoyed being confronted with impermanence and the way our failures lead to collapse.

I thought it was solid, although not the kind of film to really show off Nolan's unique talents. Films like Memento, Inception, Interstellar show what Nolan can do, films like Odyssey, Batmans, etc don't. He seems to have divided his career between the two groupings.

I would say it was a bit uneven - probably a situation where if you go in with modest expectations looking for a fun time watching cool stuff it may exceed expectations (as it did mine) but if your expectations start very high you might be disappointed.
