One thing I’ve learned is that trying to read everything is impossible. Reading widely is much more realistic. I’d rather read a handful of good articles from different perspectives than dozens saying essentially the same thing.

My media diet still has blind spots. It’s largely centered on Western democracies, and I’m always looking for ways to broaden it. But I think diversity of sources matters more than finding a mythical “perfect” news outlet.

The goal isn’t to collect newspapers from across the political spectrum. The goal is to understand the world through different journalistic cultures, editorial priorities and areas of expertise.
