My dad was an asthmatic high school athlete in the 70s who had to wait out his asthma attacks because albuterol inhalers weren’t a thing until 1981. I inherited his asthma and was diagnosed in 1997 at age 14. If I was ever without my inhaler, it was because I’d misplaced it.
