The libraries buy the books and depending on the size of the library, more than one copy ! And I’m assuming they also pay for their ebook copies of which they can carry many copies of !! I’m thankful for our county’s library system !!

As I've sadly learned, eBooks are only licensed to libraries which means a recurring expense against limited budgets. Good for the authors though (and the publishers I am sure!) Balancing that, eBooks save shelf space and don't suffer wear and tear.
