I’m on a 3 train on my home and started straight up CACKLING when I read this.
I wasn't sure if you did a joke about Nolan wasting his R rating, by not showing any sex, or if you actually thought it was a PG-13.
It was rated 12 in my country, Norway. And we usually rate films higher for violence. But I think the film got caught by the more than 1 fuck rule.
It got a 12 rating in Germany too, but our ratings board was in recent years pretty mellow when violence is in a fantasy context, the movie is long enough to give kids time to breath between intense scenes or it's just expensive and has certain artistic value.
