Wasnt their stated approach to cut everything and then as problems arose they’d know that there was actually a need. This was their plan- to let the disasters guide them. Except not sure if they just keep ignoring the needs.

never fully realized how dry the winters are in N MN. it is super cold but not wet, forests are not lush unless near water. now Mi is another story

It's a much larger problem than just 4,000 acres. Superior National Forest is almost 4 million acres, and the problem with undergrowth has been known for a long time.
