I would assume because of the insane price of hardware major game publishers are gonna move to a SaaS model, where you don't even get a download, because why give you anything at this point? This is especially egregious considering the cost of storage on a local home system these days. If you want to play more than 1 game at a time, you need to pay an extra couple hundred dollars for a second stick of NVME on pretty much every console.

The local Walmart literally redid an entire aisle in electronics specifically to expand their vinyl selection due to how well sales have been. It legit looks good and kinda unreal when compared to how small their CD selection is.
