i feel that's exactly what your cat is thinking when they look at you like that lol

So this is the cat equivalent of an older brother licking his finger and sticking it in his younger brother's ear.

I find that it is all fine and dandy until a tooth “accidentally” touches an ear

This comes as no news to any multiple-cat household.

It's a domination ritual. Clearly!

My cats have a very big sister/little sister dynamic with all its affection and annoyance and allogrooming is a huge part of that

Look, he's grooming her. That's so cute! No, it's not. He's trying to get her to move so he can lie closer to the fireplace.

SO cat.

Sending this to her with the caption "us"

That explains why they look so angry when they're doing it!

I had my suspicions tbh

This is hilarious…shoulda known! Little turds. The “chronic tension” between my 4 cats is NOT subtle.

In my house we call this a “forced bath.”

True in my experience. My younger cat definitely grooms to annoy

Anyone who has ever been licked by a cat could tell you that. Like sandpaper.

I can hear the cats in the apartment above me reenact kung fu movies all night 😂

I effing knew it...

Many thanks. This is exactly what my younger cat does to the older one to steal his spot on the windowsill.

I've always suspected this.

Can confirm

LMAO for cats: Licking My A-- Off

S

You're in my spot. Move!

Like we did not all know this

Ofc these dickheads are trolling each other

. 😹 Happened to be filming at THE exact moment when these siblings (8 mos.) expanded their licking vocabulary 😼

I read this while being aggressively licked by my cat

Cats everywhere: Lmiaow

Before one of my kitties said good-bye this spring, they loved to do their groom-groom-BAP squabbles on my lap as soon as I got home.

I'm not sure if she's doing it on purpose but my girl cat grooms my dog, and my dog is definitely annoyed by it

I see that at the house on the daily

I have sufficient anecdotal, observable evidence to confirm this is true. My older cat forfeits the coveted spot on the windowsill to the younger one after a bout of seemingly friendly acts of grooming. 🤣

I observe this multiple times a day in my sibling pair. Sometimes just grooming, sometimes aggressive. I tell myself it's just "play fighting."

I knoooow my Skadi grooms Beeps just to piss her off. I see it almost nightly, and it always makes me laugh.
