The greatest argument for retaining booze in Parliament is that if you had to spend your days with those folks, you’d need multiple drinks, too. Same for the U.S. Congress.

I recall nt long ago a newly elected MP questioned the boozing in parliament & triggered a spectacular multi-week meltdown by the nation's most sensible Sensibles chin stroking & pontificating abt why the corridors of Westminster overflowing with booze ws nt only good bt virtually a natural law
