The saddest part about my mother-in-law being in the hospital awaiting bypass surgery is we have to watch her dog while she’s gone. He’s a corgi, age 10, and knows nothing but love for her. He sleeps by our front door waiting for her. I don’t think we realize how much our animals miss us.
