Speaking of the bot - now that I am four months in, here's a hot spot I wasn't expecting... they are mostly scooter strikes. Anyone have a theory as to why here? (alxdispatch.org)

actually that's not fair - it's two scooters and three pedestrians

Is that over by the movie theater? I suspect it’s a combo of a lot of people moving through the area (and a lot of young people), very crowded/high traffic at specific times, and streets that were not built to handle it.

When I rode a bike there, it felt like there were tons of double parked cars, picking up deliveries, blocking sight lines. More double parked cars than I have seen outside of Brooklyn in the 90s.

No idea about the rest but Mill and Mandeville has a weird intersection where the trail crosses the wmata parking lot entrance and there are signals on the street but not on the trail and it feels sketch

I have a theory for 2 of those: The upper dot on Stovall is where the Wegman’s garage lets out onto a one-way street and that isn’t well marked. I’ve seen people try to cross 2 lanes of traffic and median to turn left while dodging exiting cars turning right.

Mandeville & Hoffman: Cars are typically double parked blocking the curb cut here, forcing two-wheeled traffic to weave between and into traffic. My gut says it’s people picking up Andy’s or Uber/Lyft drivers.

The dots aren't perfect - I typically get an intersection and who knows how exact it is. I also sometimes have to offset them a little to get multiples to show. But this general area seems to have an issue - and yeah double parked cars blocking a bike lane because there's no loading zone would do it
