Why tell the truth when it can just generate lies?

.... it's not even a big painting? It's not small either, and it is impressive physically in the sense of surface detail from impasto, a quality which can't be conveyed in a flat reproduction. But these mid-size Van Goghs don't blow you away with scale; they draw you in to the artist's vision (imo)

That ai account, if you look at its weird website, is run by an Israeli ceramics business who are trying to monetize ai art featuring their work, via autonomous agent This is exactly what all the marketing websites we use are trying to get us to do, this is the world they want

The scale is 92x73cm or standard size 30 canvas like the majority of his paintings. He's a curator's dream.

Having these software impersonate humans was always creepy and wrongheaded. Rather than helping LLMs reach singularity (impossible for LLMs), it has made them intolerable and also dangerous for people with or vulnerable to mental illness.

It's weird bc I've said almost exactly what the AI wrote before about my own experience seeing that painting. I'm sure many have and that's where it got it. It's like watching a zombie walking around trying to fill up a car at the gas station because it's something he vaguely remembers from life.

Soon enough we'll have people worshipping AI like a god and the stupidest of times will be upon us.
