I think this piece is interesting, and I understand that Wilson is never going to be a fan of Nolan’s Odyssey. This piece is better about it, but one of my least favorite things about criticism is bemoaning what one thinks a thing should have been rather than engaging with what it is.

She’s just milking the attention at this point. She’s got nothing but the harshest criticism for Nolan’s Odyssey but thinks Troy was “fun”? If she was truly bothered by how Nolan deviated from the story, Troy would give her ptsd. She’s gotta be trolling.

Troy also has some significant structural problems from a story telling point of view. There are parts of it I love (Peter O'Toole's asking for the return of his son's body stays with me) but the film as a whole is a fucking mess.
