It’s crazy how many big things like this back then were fixed with one simple change. Smog: catalytic converters, ozone hole: ban cfcs, acid rain: ban/filter high sulfur coal. Can’t do anything about climate change though, we just had to wait for the market forces to make renewables cheaper than FFs
