This is always true.
Sir AlmavivaPolitical partisans annoy me: someone from Party X makes a good point about some issue with Party Y on which their own party is as bad if not worse, and I'd like to say "Are you aware what party you're in?" without sounding like I'm dismissing the real issue with party Y.
