They're using the term death "rate", when what is factual is number of deaths- those are two different things! While we may well have the highest number of (REPORTED) deaths we did NOT have the highest death rate! Our rate was around 17th!

And considering we aren't even in the top 50 for covid vaccine use, it's pretty clear closures, social distancing and masking was a huge factor in keeping our death rate from being higher!
