Our gvt is not - & should not be treated & covered as - spectator sport. For the moment, We The People remain the gvt. It is ours. It is us. Covering it as if it is a detached abstraction breeds cynicism. Worse, it frees officials from accountability. Worst, it lets us off the hook. Stop it. Please.
