I find the 2026 Dodgers unimposing. I think the Brewers can beat them in a best-of-7 even with Skubal. But just as importantly, this is a window. The Dodgers are making the most of their window. Good for them. It IS gonna get ugly for them soon. Be chill.

I mean they also have one of the deepest farm systems in baseball and a slew of high impact players.

I think you can pitch to them this season. Mookie isn’t nearly the hitter he was, and Freddie isn’t getting any younger. They’re still tough of course, but I agree that they’re beatable.

It’s going to be pitching duels. The Brewers NEED to find a way to score runs. They are already last in home runs but are top 5 in RS and 2nd in run diff. So they do know how to score but runs come at a premium in the playoffs. So trade for a slugger or clone Ashby.

Having had a favorite basketball team recently start to experience the downside of aging and injured expensive contracts after a failed two timeline attempt, I can't say I disagree.

The problem is that team had to deal with a cap, much tougher rules on keeping a core together, and wasn’t allowed to just buy every available all star each offseason. This stops when the dodgers feel like it, or the rules change. That’s pretty much all that’s impeding them from continuing

“Ugly” after cashing in multiple rings, tastes a lot better than getting close and then dismantling and rebuilding as all teams must eventually do.
