Just curious, did you know anybody already living in the city prior to moving there? Did you find jobs through people you know? ime few people transplant with no plan or network. Whether Cleveland has a strong job market is irrelevant; if you don't know any Clevelanders, you won't move there

which is to say, the average American degree-holder seems more likely to know someone living cosmopolitan places like Seattle or Los Angeles, that attract people across the country, compared to Pittsburg or Dallas, whose transplant network's likely more regional
