It took a while, but I finally got the March 31 NPS memo justifying the attempted removal of the 15th Street bike lane between Constitution Avenue and the Tidal Basin. In short: Concerns over traffic for America 250 events, it would "improve the visual quality" of the street.

I think these flex posts were removed when i went over this weekend, curbs still there

Ddot is told us they're doing some repair work on it this week.

If the lane survives past July, when the a250 stuff is over, then it seems like NPS will have a much weaker case for removing it
