The bill says the new expansion will add about 8,000 seats to what’s currently a 20,000-seat stadium. The total investment will be $620 million, with D.C. kicking in some $300 million. Note that D.C. has put $515 million into Cap One, and $1 billion for Commanders stadium.

The bill would also require D.C. United to build 467 units of housing, 148 of which would be affordable and another 122 to be set aside for seniors.

How many concerts does the DC Council think the district can support between an updated Capital One Arena, an updated Audi Field, and the new RFK Stadium? These venues clearly cannibalism each other!
