I'm on my second viewing of Mad Men. I'm sure this is no huge newsflash, but it's really amazing what a complete coward Don is. His choice to marry Megan is largely rooted in Dr Miller telling him that he can live an authentic life and face his past. It's just far, far too scary and he retreats.
