Many DOGE kids were monsters. The most chilling DOGE story I've heard was the anonymous testimony of NIH officials who begged the DOGE children who were dismantling their work to spare some long-running cancer research projects whose great promise would be vaporized if they were interrupted. 27/

I understand why you want to call them "kids" and "children" (to emphasize their lack of experience). But it actually has the effect of removing accountability. The DOGE assholes were mostly young but they weren't children. They were adults who bear full responsibility for the harms they caused.

This has been my experience with customer service chatbots everywhere. At a time when AI tech bros are crowing about the awesome intellect of their models, customer service chatbots just keep getting dumber and dumber, and better at better at blocking customers from getting anything useful.

What if that’s their actual goal? CTO to manager of division: “here lets talk about this new chatbot”, manager, “customers say it sucks”, CTO, “your divisions profits are way up since you started using it”
