Given the trauma and grief teenage me had to deal with, I absolutely forgive him his trespasses, and I'm thankful as hell for my friends then (several of whom are still friends now). Whoever you were as a teenager, they survived for you to look back now and that's worth celebrating.

The latest HWA debacle sure is helping to identify a lot of people I can block.

I hated Threads before, deleted my account. But lots of people are there so I went for another look. Because I deleted my account, I can't reopen it. So I set up a new one. Started following people, made a couple of posts, then this. No idea why and I didn't appeal anything. This page just appeared.

This is absolutely fair enough. Numbers should stop.

How do we make this reality?

HWA in damage control and have removed Giron from the Board. Wild that the piece ever went out but a good decision there, at least.

Really glad I didn't renew my HWA membership this year. Just a joke organisation now. That latest AI slop email is absolute trash. Which is such a fucking shame because I was so pleased when I qualified for full membership back in the day. It felt like an achievement. Now all credibility is gone.

I finally got around to watching Midsommar. That was a fever dream acid trip of a film. They really should have all run away after that first mushroom party in a field. (And Dani should have never even left America.)

Terry Pratchett was one of the smartest, kindest, most talented people to ever walk this earth. All good writers have to be at least a little smart to convey ideas well inside a good story. Pratchett was next level. He was many levels above, in fact.
