guys i really fucking nailed the nachos. we had 6 hot sauce options and local green peppers and jalapeños my 12yo grew and the meat i made was perfect.

I used to have a friend/roommate who is possibly the most tightly wound and unhappy person I have ever met. She made a mix CD once that had the Ben Harper song “Burn One Down” on it and I have spent the last 25 years wondering if she knew what that song is about.

I feel like the history of Pig’s Eye/Fish Hatch/Swede’s Hollow as an encampment/shantytown (which was new to me! I did not know this about that area!) would make a really obvious and compelling case to someone who was intellectually curious and compassionate instead of merely power hungry.
