Been saying this for about 3 years now. Interesting to see it get such a large piece in the NYT. Domestic Automakers in the US are screwed.

I own a Chevy Bolt EUV. It’s a great car — decent range, reliable, reasonably priced. Chevy’s decision to cancel production of the car (now reversed) was like if Henry Ford said “that’s enough Model Ts” in 1913.

Many F-150s weigh the same as EVs and it's the number one selling vehicle in the nation. For some reason no one ever talks about the tire particulates from those.
