I learned from going to see the MN Orchestra last night that my mental recording of Beethoven's 5th still dates back to being 2nd oboe in my college orchestra, so "my" version involves sitting in front of the horns, by the woodwinds and violas. It sounded SO unbalanced to me from the audience.

This is objectively a very "meh" song, but I respect the impulses that led to it

for a junk drawer to legally qualify as a real junk drawer, what is the ONE absolute mandatory item it must include? Some ridiculous plastic tchotchke that you can't really remember where you got it from, but you've held onto it this long, so it must be important

My dad edited law books for a living. I used to have him proofread my school assignments, which was BRUTAL but precise. I'm still amazed at how his texts and emails have epically bad punctuation and grammar.
