As the grandson of Kansas wheat farmers, let me offer my careful opinion -- this is not good.
DaleThe USDA is projecting the wheat harvest to be cut by almost half in the US. The state of Kansas is the largest producer of wheat and it is projected to harvest 44% less than from 2025. The American Farm Bureau sees a continued increase of Chapter 12 bankruptcies from 2025 as well.

Wanna know how important local elections are? Previous AZ Gov signed leases with KSA for alfalfa & water grown in AZ & flown to ME. Preserving their water by using AZ water. Needless to say, water wars out here over Colorado River. AZ, CA, NV must cut 30% usage. Current gov had to cut leases
La Reina del RyePeople are also lazy. I get that there are dumpster fires upon dumpster fires, but ppl refuse to help put at least one out. Many of us feel we can just let someone else clean the mess up and not have to get our hands dirty.

Even without taking it to the government level, there's not even community level organizing going on. Ain't started a tenant/community organization, started a Girls Scout troop, organized a back-to-school fundraiser, NOTHING.
