This concert, still available, was a joy. I didn't know the Britten works, among his best. The Svoboda premiere ("Moon Child") explored fascinating textures for the women and the instruments (he's a trombonist), and made an excellent complement to the Weill, which showcased the choir's men

At the Bregenz Festival, incredible set by Paolo Fantin for La Traviata, inspired by Violetta dropping her mirror "Eighty-six wooden splinters...are piled up on the stage. Almost half of them can be moved individually thanks to hydraulics. The shattering of the mirror is depicted by an implosion."
