It's really sad at the end of the school year when all the staff have to pack up their blankets and pillows and find somewhere to sleep for the summer.

Most districts these days give teachers a choice of getting their 10 month pay only during the school year (10 monthly checks, generally) or to have their 20 month salary split over 12 months.
