People don't really understand the additional level of mental effort it takes to work on commissions, you are drawing someone elses request, crafting a meal to their liking and specifications, its like working as a chef. Personal art is junk food/normal food, we need it to stay alive lol.

“It’s unprofessional for an artist to post personal art while doing commissions” Sometimes we need a break in between commissions by drawing stuff for ourselves so we don’t lose momentum. It might take a while to. It not unprofessional it just warm ups to keep from having art block.
