haha i second Cherry Wine. also, Never Let Me Go by Florence & the Machine... literally about (her fixation with) death by drowning

aw thanks!! just so i'm not bait-&-switching ya, the MC of Undiscovered is boringly straight; the quietly bi character & her loudly ace twin star in the B plot. more queer characters in my Cozyish and V anthology pieces (both in the Zon free samples!) & in Undreamt, hopefully releasing next summer.

sounds fun! ps, my bi selkies are currently waving hi to yours

candelabrum is the singular. candelabra is the plural. "candelabras" makes my eye twitch (sorry, darling erin morgenstern, i do love you... but you can miss me with this one as well as your zillion comma splices haha)

CK Salmon. haha that'd make a decent pen name

my selkies are VERY cosiness-oriented. depending on the way each of them is making in the world, some achieve it better than others... but if they got to pick, most of them would take yummy food, a nice fire, tea, and napping in a comfy seal pile every time

i'm not normally a romantasy person at. all., but read this because i'm a huge fan of the author in her non-authorial capacity. i found it delightful, & suffice it to say my new "book boyfriend" is the "muscle mommy" (as summer refers to her) from this one... swooon www.goodreads.com/book/show/23...

yes! use of the word "accessible" also feels stinky here. as college faculty, i'm required to ensure that all my courses are accessible--to students who need to use screen readers, require audio transcripts, etc. accessibility does NOT mean dumbing material down for people who don't care to learn.

i hold contradictory beliefs about my aging self all the time haha. sometimes i'm sad that i don't look like i did at 30. other times i feel like a demigod, so much more powerful than younger me. (and my favorite part of aging is how many fewer fucks i have to give with each passing decade!)

go, cookie!! my selkies' version of magic skin allows them to look young even when they're centuries old. some of them still choose to age, often bc they want to grow old with a human partner (reversible after their person dies); at least one matriarch looks 60ish bc she wants to be taken seriously

amazingsauce!! i shall persist for now, but knowing that i've technically turned "retirement age" has caused quite the lil mindset shift. starting to compile a list of "reasons we should just retire" with a colleague whose bday is 6 months before mine

fun with grimm's law! 🙌 &in Still Twinning news, i'd just like you to know that i play around lots with b/v in my upcoming anthology poems. bevilacqua, teaches a language where letters b/v represent one shared set of sounds, writes as a character whose pen name is v/real name starts with b, haha

also, pretty sure the hit on Jesus was the roman empire, just sayin

genius catch-phrase, my frond 😎
