I for one am fascinated by the "Dennis the Menace Fan Club" badge, showcasing a late 70s/early 80s version of the character whose behaviour as the protagonist would be considered abusive and bullying by contemporary standards. I'm sure there are no parallels to draw.
That was definitely something I remember in the Ginn Reading 360 scheme. I have a distinct memory of the first book we ever read together in class being on a big easel while we all sat on the carpet. Can't find any pictures of the big version though.

The shelter advert was like "so she *might* be a bit antisocial and a grumpy touch-averse asshole" but I think she just had a really bad time in the shelter (and however she ended up there). She got her feet under the table here literally the day she arrived and was just like "oh comfortable".
I don't want to ruin your joy but it wasn't even a yell, it was a very gentle hrrp, just a "hello you are looking at me, does that mean it's time for dinner"
